By using XF-HEVC the XF705 can record 4K UHD 50P 4:2:2 10-bit files directly to widely available SD cards. The 4K camera can build 4K videos in MXF wrapper. I have got a Canon XF705 for days. Just curious if people have been able to work with the Canon XF705 4K videos in After Effects CC natively yet.
I have scoured the internet, tried everything I could find about the Canon XF705 4K H.265 to After Effects CC workflow. The final result I found from all relevant forums is that After Effects CC doesn’t do 4K H.265 perfectly yet.
A common solution to import Canon XF705 files to Avid is to AE in the footage- but it won’t be 4K H.265. Largest project you can have is 4K or 1080P H.264. I have tried my best to make it, frustratingly, no luck.
